Everything is so worth it when you wake up to this sweet face on Christmas morning!

25 Days of Christmas- day 24

Oh my dinner was a phenomenal success!

We had apple, cranberry salad, rolls, sweet potato cassarole, green bean cassarole, butternut squash soup, the most amazing mashed potatoes EVER, my first homemade gravy, stuffed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, cream corn, and my honey glazed pineapple and cranberry ham. IT WAS FABULOUS!!!

Oh my! This day was insanely busy! I literally cooked for 8 hours! I made all kinds of stuff- mainly my side dishes and the deserty. That was my favorite part actually. Iris helped me bake a birthday cake for Jesus. It was precious. :)

Today I got the rest of the food I needed for my big dinner, put all the wrapped gifts under the tree, made the place settings, finished my centerpieces and wrote all my recipes on recipe cards. Busy day!

25 Days of Christmas- day 21

I dedicated this day to cleaning and preparing for my guests. It’s a little hard to get anything extra done because I’ve been sick with this pregnancy. Ugh…

25 Days of Christmas- day 20

Today we went to TWO Christmas programs! The first one had a beautiful stage with 40+ trees and fake snow, so Iris had a blast!

25 Days of Christmas- day 19

Today, we spent the day in Waco with my favorite family- the Harrells. It was little AIden’s 2nd birthday, and a perfect excuse for our families to get together and exchange Christmas presents! We had a blast!

25 Days of Christmas- day 18

Today, I “handmade” my handmade gifts and wrapped them. Simple and peaceful…

25 Days of Christmas- day 17

My big Christmas Eve dinner is exactly one week ffrom today, and I am so so excited! I have been brainstorming menu ideas for months now, and I today, I finalized my menu. It is complete with traditional recipes and some I have never tried before. There is even a surprise desert, especially for my mother in law, and little place setting gifts for each guest. I am hosting a dinner for 14 people! *whew* I better start cooking now just to be done in time! haha!

25 Days of Christmas- day 16

Iris’ playroom has completely empty walls. It is one of those projects I plan to take on next year. For now, I covered the biggest wall with her very own Christmas tree made of garland. then I strung some lights on it, and hung her very own ornaments- ones she made or has been given. When I asked her what she thought of her tree, she said, “LIKE IT!”  :)
